Endometriosis is not usually life threatening but it could lead to infertility.
Some symptoms of endometriosis include:
• The inability to conceive
Up to 40% of patients with endometriosis are unable to conceive – three times more compared to healthy women.
Individuals may experience pain 1 to 2 days prior menstruation in the lower abdomen, genital, anus and thighs.
• Irregular menstruation
Excessive and/or prolonged bleeding as well as spotting before period can be an indication of endometriosis.
• Weak bladder condition
Individuals with endometriosis may experience frequent urination, dysuria, and periodic blood.
