• Mental Stress and Mood Swing
Excessive mental stress, grief, sadness, anger, and other unusual emotions may cause prolonged menstrual bleeding. Other symptoms include pain in the breasts and tightness in chest.
• Excessive Dieting
Taking weight loss medication and excessive diet may cause prolonged menstrual bleeding.
Prolonged menstrual bleeding may be caused by chronic diseases such as chronic hepatitis, tuberculosis, hypothyroidism, tumour, aplastic anemia and severe iron deficiency anemia.
